Mum used to leave me queueing for a teacher while she was talking to another teacher. Lots of people do it. It saves some time. ;) Try next time you go.<br />Normally each maestra has a day when they take appointments but because most parents can't take time off to go and talk to the teachers, twice a year they have a day when they do a "incontro con i professori". Normally it's really really crowded.
